KidCurrent is the children’s ministry here at Island Church. It is an original curriculum designed and developed to convey practical biblical truths to children. We emphasize these 5 principles in kidCurrent: God loves you, God wants the best for you, God still saves, God still heals the sick, and God has a plan and a destiny for your life. KidCurrent is specifically for children ages 7 to 12.
Early September of 2008 was a special time at Island Church. We had been in our new facility for 18 months (the old Gerland’s store on 69th St.) and our crowds were maximizing our 20,000 square foot building. Another 9,000 square feet was available to us and our plan was to obtain it for our Children's Ministry.
